Carl F. Bray Carl Franklin Bray, 75, of 204 Holiday Road, McCormick, SC, died on his birthday, Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Petra Health and Rehab. Born in Greensboro, GA, he was the son of the late Eddie Wah Bray and Woodie Mae Christopher Bray and the husband of the late Mildred Bray. Mr. Bray retired from Greenwood Mills, Mathews Plant and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are a daughter, Renee and her husband Tony Adams of Greenwood; five sisters, Joan Reid of Greenwood; Sue Crawford of Ninety Six; Shirley Williams of Greenwood; Rae Lucas of Hodges; Janice and her husband David Mooney of Greenwood; and two grandchildren Kristen and Austin Adams. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Memorial Gardens with Dr. Ted Williams officiating. The family will be at the home of his sister, Joan Reid, 132 Valley Road, Greenwood.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to HospiceCare of the Piedmont, 408 West Alexander Greenwood SC, 29649. Choiniere, husband of Barbara Lewis Choiniere, of Abbeville, died Saturday, March 19, 2011 at the Hospice House in Greenwood. Donna Gilliam Donna Marie Gilliam, 54, of 759 Holloway Avenue, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Greenwood, she was the daughter of Mamie Lee Stevenson and the late Tommie Lee Lagroon. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School and Piedmont Technical College. She was currently employed with Hardees. She leaves to cherish her memories, two daughters, Lateshia (Ashton) Rogers of Spartanburg and Kenya (Dominique) Laymon of Greenwood; her mother of Greenwood; one brother, David A.

Stevenson of Jersey City, NJ; two sisters, Ellen Mims of Hackensack, NJ, and Shirley Stith of Bridgeport, CT; and eight grandchildren. Services are 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Mt. Zion AME Church in Promised Land, conducted by Rev. Archie Fair.

The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Chapel of Robinson Son Mortuary from 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. The family will also be at the home of her mother, 503 Norwood Avenue.

Mrs. McCary was the wife of the late William Iredell McCary, Sr. and a daughter of the late William Nathan and Eunice Leopard Adams.

Surviving are a daughter, Judy McCary Riser, of Columbia; a daughter-in-law, Avice Perry McCary of Saluda; eight grandchildren, Terri (Darrell) Rodgers, Darrell (Minnie) McCary, Carroll (Sandra) McCary of Saluda, Reggie (Lee Anna) Riser of Augusta, GA, Kim Riser of West Columbia, Vernon McCary of Columbia, Pamela Gray and Tammie McCary of Oklahoma City, OK; sixteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild. Mrs. McCary was preceded in death by two sons, Benjamin Leroy McCary and William I. McCary, two sisters, Annie Pearl McCary and Hassie Morse; one brother, William Adams; one half- sister Allie Crawford; and two half-brothers, John L. Adams and Maxie Adams.

Funeral service will be held at Good Hope Baptist Church Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Justice and Dr. Elton Dunbar officiating. Interment will follow in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. at Ramey Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 22, 2011. The family wishes to thank relatives and friends for their many expressions of kindness the many calls, visits, and cards during her seven years in the Saluda Nursing Center. Birdette Sanders UNION Daisy Birdette Bogan Sanders, age 93, widow of James Carl Sanders, of 149 Sanders Road, Union, SC, died, March 20, 2011 at Wallace Thomson Hospital.

Mrs. Sanders was born in West Springs, April 15, 1917, a daughter of the late A. P. Bogan and Daisy West Bogan. She was a graduate of West Springs High School and a faithful member of Mt.

Joy Baptist Church. Mrs. Sanders was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. Mrs. Sanders was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Surviving are three sons, James Carl Sanders, Jr. and wife Janis of Greenwood, SC, William A. Sanders and wife Marlene, and Ray S. Sanders and wife Mary all Union; five grandchildren, James C. Sanders, III, Jennifer S.

Jenkins and husband Matt, William Jefferey Sanders, Susan S. Myrick and husband Ryan and Stacie S. Boan and husband Brian; eight great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Alice Sanders of Union; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Sanders was predeceased by a brother: Harry A.

Bogan. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2011 at Mt. Joy Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Alan West.

Burial will be in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jay Sanders, Jeff Sanders, Matt Jenkins, Dyan Myrick, Brian Boan, Randall Bogan, Marshall Bogan and Mike Brewington. Members of the Grace Little Sunday School Class, Hospice of SC staff and nurses, Mrs. Betty Farr and Dr. Robert Wentz are asked to sit in a group.

Frankie Winn SALUDA Frankie Edwards Winn, 80, of 396 Ridge Spring died Sunday morning, March 20, 2011 at her home where she was born and lived throughout her life with her family. Born in Saluda, SC she was the daughter of the late Stephen Hampton Edwards and Lucille Forrest Edwards.

She was the wife of Clinton B. Winn of the home. Frankie known as to her grandchildren, was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved caring for her grandchildren who were the joys of her life. She was a lifelong farm wife whose family was honored as S.C.

Farm Family of the year in 1976. She also dedicated her life to helping others. This was demonstrated through her many years of service at Saluda Nursing Center. She considered her time at the Nursing Center as one of her greatest accomplishments. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Clinton B.

Winn of the home; one son and daughter in-law, David F. (Jeannie) Winn; one daughter and son in-law, Lisa W. (Robert) Berry; five grandsons, Fletcher Clinton, Forrest Duvall and Fulton Nathaniel Winn, Claude Chandler and Noah Hampton Berry all of Saluda; and two special Sandra Kaye Fulmer and Margaret Ann Kennerly. She is also survived by one sister, Mary Ruth Rinehart of Batesburg. She was predeceased in death by her parents and siblings, Sexton Edwards, Larry Edwards, Mabel Kerby, Forrest Edwards, Myrtis Calk, Maurice Edwards, Jack Edwards and two half sisters, Ella Edwards Robertson and Charlotte Edwards Able.

She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 with visitation to follow. A private burial will be held at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saluda Nursing Center, P.O.
