David Crawford ABBEVILLE David Crawford, 62, of 206 Whitehall Abbeville, SC, the husband of Leola Crawford and the son of the late Benjamin and Sarah Harris Crawford, died Dec. 25, 2010 at Self Regional Medical Center, Greenwood, SC. Butch was educated in the public school system in Abbeville. He was employed with Pirelli Cable until he became disabled. He was a member of Baptist Church in Troy, SC.

Surviving, in addition to his wife of the home, four sons, Eric Crawford of Bishopville, SC, Andre Crawford of Greenville, SC, Travis Jackson of Abbeville, SC, and Jamar Crawford of Lexington, GA; five daughters, La Shonda Price, Charlotte, NC, Erica Rayford, Abbeville, SC, Carissa Hill of Georgia, Vene sia Jackson, Abbeville, SC, Sharon Thomas of Abbeville, SC; two sisters, Endia Waller of Abbeville, SC, and Fannie Johnson of Philadelphia, PA. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at Chapel Baptist Church, with Rev. M.L.

Taylor officiating. Assisting are Rev. Alvin Green, Rev. Johnnie Waller, Dr. Alice Ridgill and Rev.

Kenneth Harrison. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family is at the home. Richie Funeral Home is in charge of these arrangements. Patricia Lorraine Edwards-Tisdale WASHINGTON, D.C.

Patricia Lorraine Edwards- Tisdale was born in Abbeville County, S.C., on December 6, 1944 to the late Daniel and Allie Mae Edwards. She departed this life on December 25, 2010. Patricia was the second of six children born to Daniel and Allie Mae Edwards. She received her early education from the public schools of Abbeville County, graduating from Wright High School. She received her Degree from Allen University and her Degree from Indiana State University.

She completed post graduate studies at Vanderbilt University and Boston University. At an early age, Pat joined St. James AME Church in Abbeville, S.C. When she moved to Washington, D.C., she joined Union Wesley AME Zion Church. She transferred membership to Union Bethel AME Church.

Pat relocated to Washington, D.C., working at Hot Shoppes and Andrews Air Force Base Youth Employment Program. Upon graduation from college, she began an educational career that spanned over 31 years. greatest passion was counseling, helping students to develop their potential. During her tenure as an educator in the DC Public Schools, she touched the lives of thousands of young people. She was an elementary school teacher at Webb Elementary School; a guidance counselor at Anacostia High School and Eastern High School; an assistant principal at Jefferson Middle School; and an elementary school principal at Plummer Elementary School.

Pat had many interests and affiliations. She loved to travel, usually driving to her many destinations. She enjoyed bowling and was a member of Charles County Senior Bowling League. Pat was a duffer in golf, taking golf lessons until her husband, Marvin, fired the instructor and began giving her lessons. Pat was a chief Democratic election judge and a lifetime member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc.

Pat is survived by her husband, Marvin Tisdale; one stepson, Kevin Tisdale (Lisa); three grandchildren, Julian Kannae and Alexis Tisdale; six siblings, Robert Charles Edwards (Doris), Beatrice Elaine Vicks (Lonnie), Andrew Eugene Edwards (Bonita), Zephia Conaway, Fannie Deborah Griffin (Andrew) and Ken neth Franklin Edwards (Inge). She is also survived by her godchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing is on Thursday, December 30, 2010 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m.

All services will be at Union Bethel AME Church, 6810 Floral Park Road, Brandywine, MD 20613. Interment is in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Jack Louis Harvley 48, of 4323 Highway 25 South, went home to be with our Lord on Monday, December 27, 2010. Born in Weatherford, TX, he was a son of Jack Louis Harvley Sr. and Dora Stults Harvley. He was a graduate of Greenwood High School and earned an Associate Degree in Electronic Engineering from Piedmont Technical College. He was a former employee of Wometco, Harris Appliance and McCall Supply and was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his parents of the home; four sisters, Mary McCarthy, Juanita Valladares and Linda Harvley, all of Ninety Six and Letricia Harvley of Greenwood; two brothers, James Harvley asley and Michael Harvley of Greenwood; his paternal grandmother, Annie Harvley of Ninety Six; 15 nieces and nephews; 11 great-nieces and -nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, A.C. and Roberta Stults; his paternal grandfather, Leslie Harvley; and a sister, Roberta Harvley. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev.

Kevin Carter officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be James Harvley, Michael Harvley, Matt Hamrick, Ned McCarthy, Luke McCarthy, David Valladares, Shane Goodman and Jerry Harvley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 to 2 p.m.

Rebecca olloway McCORMICK Ms. Rebecca Holloway, age 47, died in McCormick, SC, December 24, 2010. She was born in McCormick January 15, 1963, a daughter of the late Willie Hoover and Bertha Mae Freeman Holloway.

She was a former member of St. Charlotte Baptist Church. Survivors are a daughter, Ms. Keisha Holloway of Greenville, SC; two sons, Christopher Holloway of Calhoun Falls, SC, and Terrell Holloway of Anderson, SC; five brothers, George Holloway of Alabama, Richard Freeman, Lonnie Freeman, James Freeman and Willie H. Holloway, all of McCormick County; and five grandchildren.

A brother Michael Holloway preceded her in death. Services are Thursday at 2 p.m. at Walker Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Robert Haskell officiating. Private interment will be at a later date.

The family is at the home of Ms. Cheryl Clover, 295 Willington Academy Road. Services entrusted to Walker Funeral Home, McCormick, SC. Harriet Ivester NINETY SIX Frances Harriet Ivester, a lifelong resident of Ninety Six, died Monday, December 27, 2010 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born July 7, 1945 in Greenwood and raised in Ninety Six, she was the daughter of the late John Harold Ivester and Frances Eddy Ivester Gaddis.

Harriet received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Newberry College. She continued her education at Clemson University, from which she received her degree in Psychology. Harriet worked as a counselor at Beckman Mental Health Center for many years until she entered retirement. Harriet was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Ninety Six. She loved being with her family and her many friends.

Her smile, with a special twinkle in her eyes, could light up a room. She loved to dance and will be remembered as a wonderful shagger. She is survived by her brother, John Ivester of Ninety Six; her stepsister, Terri Gaddis of Saluda; a special friend, John Crowley of Saluda; and many aunts, uncles and cousins to whom she brought joy every day of her life and who will miss her dearly. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Elmwood Cemetery, with the Rev.

Charles Reichenbach officiating. Dorothy LaRose Dorothy Emily Belliveau LaRose, 84, resident of Cokesbury Road, widow of Wilfred Amie LaRose, died December 26, 2010 at Providence Hospital in Columbia.

Born in New Bedford, CT, May 29, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Alfred J. and Loretta Vaudry Belliveau. Mrs. LaRose was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Surviving are two sons, Donald Richard LaRose of the home and Leonard Paul LaRose (Linda) of Winnsboro; a sister, Theresa B.

Gauvin of Plainfield, CT; three grandchildren, Nathan LaRose of Columbia, Genevieve LaRose and husband Christopher Rudek of Irmo and Meagan LaRose and husband Gilberto Uribe of San Francisco, CA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, with Rev. Father James Crowley officiating. Entombment will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

Sproles widow of John Parker Patterson, died December 27, 2010 at Hospice House.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, May 27, 1922, she was daughter of the late Dr. O.M. and Sarah Judson Minter Seigler. She was the last member of her immediate family, having been predeceased by a sister, Naomi Quillian of Camden and a brother, Charles Seigler of Marietta, GA. Mrs.

Patterson was a graduate of Canton High School, Canton, GA, and Shorter College in Rome, GA. She retired her teaching career with Greenwood School District 50, after having taught for 36 years. She also taught in Ninety Six, Gastonia, NC, and Birmingham, AL. A member of First Baptist Church of Greenwood and a former Sunday school teacher in the Junior Department, she was also a member of the NGO group of the church. She was a member of the Greenwood County Retired Teachers Association and the Greenwood Club.

Survivors are 1 daughter, Sara and husband Douglas Moore, 1 son, J. David and wife S. Jeanie, all of Greenwood; 5 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr.

Tony Hopkins officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Edward Munnerlyn, Rob Jones, Julius Pinson, Gene Pinson, Joe Fennell, Bill Ambrose, Larkin Pendergrass and Cecil Gray. Charles Prewett SALUDA Charles T. Prewett, 86, of Holton, IN, died Thursday, December 25, 2010. Born in Montpelier, IN, and a son of the late Fred M. and Lena M. Robbins Prewett, he was the husband of the late Dorothy Mae Howard Prewett.

Mr. Prewett was a veteran of World War II, having served in the US Army and was a farmer. Surviving are five daughters, Bonnie Johnston of Auburn, IN, Ann Furnish of Hamilton, IN, Linda Eads of Fort Wayne, IN, Doris Prewett of Little Mountain and Joyce Brown of Greenwood; three sons, Tom Prewett of Gilbert, Bruce Prewett of Leesville and Mark Prewett of Saluda; a brother, Fred Prewett of Phoenix, AZ; a sister, Sarah Schoeff of Jackson ville, FL; twenty-three grandchildren; thirty-seven great- grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles F. Prewett.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Ramey Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Shore, 79, of 217 Shore died Monday, December 27, 2010 at Saluda Nursing Center. Born in Savannah, GA, and a son of the late John C. and Carolyn Blackburn Shore, he was the husband of Zelma Sibauste Shore. He was a graduate of Commercial High School in Savannah, GA, and a member of Soda Shop and The Cobra Club. He was a livestock broker and owner of Shore Livestock, which originated in 1959 in Savannah, GA, and later moving to Saluda, SC.

Mr. Shore was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He was a Mason and Shriner; and member of Saluda County Cattleman Association; and received the Saluda County Cattleman of the year award in 1994. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church.

Surviving are a son and daughter in-law, John III and Tammie Shore of Saluda; three daughters and sons-in- law, Carol and David Havird of Piedmont, Terri and Don Myers of Folly Beach and Jennifer Shore of Lexington; a stepdaughter and stepson in- law, Diana and Jerry Mills of Lake Norman, NC; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church, with Rev. Mark Scott and Rev.
