Boan, 31, was wounded fatally by a Rock Hill drive-in operator during what the officers termed a holdup attempt of the place. A Lake City woman, Mrs. Ruby Collins Cook, 49. was killed near her home town in a collision between a car In which she was ridlnt; and a car hauling a trailer. A Negro pedestrian.

Early Doe, 24, was killed whau hit by a car on the Fairfax-Allendale highway. A Negro woman, Bessie Bep-nett, 45, of near Rembcrt, was pitched out of the cab of a pick-up truck and was killed, when a car rammed the rear of the truck near Camden. Mrs. Mary Barrett Spears, 40, of Augusta, was killed In a collision, at an Intersection near Trenton, between the car In which she was riding with her husband and a car driven by a Megro soldier. Her husband and the soldier were injured.
