Mr Lewis was engaged In farming. He Is survived by his wife, Alice Bo wen; three sons. Jack Lewis and Paul Lewis of Lowndesvllle and Oil-He Lewis of Anderson; two daughters, Mrs.

Helen Dunn of Lowndesvllle. Mrs. Beatrice Newell of Abbeville, five grandchildren: three brothers, Melvln, Ben and Eugene Lewis, all of Abbeville; three sisters, Mrs. Floyd McMahan of Lowndesvllle, Mrs. Ada Simpson of Abbeville and Mrs.

McCullough of Abbeville. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 3:30 p. m. from the Smyrna Methodist Church in Lowndesvllle, by the Rev. C.

P. Chewnlng, the Rev. T. L. Hooper.

Burial was In Smyrna cemetery. Volunteer workers who assisted with the Red Cross bloodmoolle visit here yesterday are announced by Mrs. W. L. Roddey.

Chester, Sept. 8 Mrs. Belle Douglas, 78, widow of Dr. Robert L. Douglas, prominent physician, died at 4 o'clock yesterday morning at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 4 o'clock Bundny afternoon from Barron's funeral home here, by the Rev. William Royal Bussey, minister of the First Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. Raleigh Moore Engle, minister of Purity Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
