7, 2001, at Richard Campbell Veterans Nursing Home. Bom in Honea Path, he was a son of the late Broadus and Lindy Cooley Stone. A World War II Army veteran, he served in Europe and received a Purple Heart and three Bronze Stars. He was a retired employee of Chiquola Manufacturing, a member of the American Legion and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include a daughter, Jane Rooks of Honea Path; a brother, Furman Stone of Honea Path; two sisters, Genette McGregor of Honea Path and Ellie Powell of Greenwood; a grandchild and two great-grandchildren.

Services will b6 at 2 Wednesday at Pruitt Funeral Home, with Gamett Hanley officiating. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery. Visitation is from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home. Family members are at their respective homes. Pruitt Funeral Home is in charge.

TelT Young PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. Robert Blondel "Dell" Young, 50, died Jan. 7, 2001, in Georgia. Bom in Greenwood, S.C, he was a son of Jimmy W. Young and the late Caroline Johnson Young.

He was a former employee of Holiday Inn in Greenwood and a member of South Main Street Baptist Church. Survivors include his father and step-mother, Thelma Young, of Greenwood; a sister, Jimmie Ann Davis of Peachtree City; two stepsisters, Mrs. Ronnie (Nancy) O'Deil of Ware Shoals, S.C, and Mrs. Paul B. Bora in Orangeburg County, he was a son of the late Hubert J. and Annie Ruth Chavis Bolin. He was a retired farmer. Survivors include a sister. Mrs.

49, of Route 1. died 2001. at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Augusta. Bom in Lincolnton, he was a son of Charlie Mae Wright Cade and the late Fred Cade. He was a 1969 Mims High School graduate, a Vietnam War veteran and a member of Little Mill Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son. Carlos A. Postell of Calhoun Falls: and his mother of Mccormick. The family is at the home of his mother. Route I.

of 795 Ethel Road, husband of Synthia R. Cox, died Jan. 7, 200 1 in Arcadia. Bom in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Odell and Flora Seay Cox. He was a retired maintenance worker with Whispering Pines.

Spartanburg, and a Marine Corps veteran. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of Arcadia; two sons, Tim Cox and Lee Cox, both of Adairsville, two daughters. Tammy Barlow and Trenia Moss, both of Adairsville; a stepson. Joe Richards of Roebuck; two stepdaughters, Arvella Sellars of Spartanburg and Arlene Johnson of Greenwood; two brothers, Edd Cox and Calvin Cox, both of Spartanburg; and two sisters.

Betty Chandler of Pauline and Estelle Goforth of Spartanburg. Graveside services, with military rites, will be at 2 today in Tabernacle United Methodist Church, Woodruff. The Rev. Greg Pressley will officiate. Memorials may be made to Spartanburg Hospice, 120 Heywood Spartanburg, S.C.

Desmond Ruth McNinch WARE SHOALS, SC Ruth White McNinch. a daughter of the late Walter Metts White and Sarah Elizabeth Hayes White, wife of Baron McNinch and the mother of Frances Anne McNinch was bom in Chester County on April 25, 1 91 6. She was the last member of her immediate family.

She moved out her house of clay on January 8, 2001 after an illness of some eight years. She was a loyal church and presbytery member, an active citizen of her community and the rock on which her family stood. A Memorial Service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church, Wednesday at 3 p.m. A private interment will be held at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Please omit flowers.

2001. Born in Edgefield, S.C, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mary Ann Peterson Griffin. Survivors include a daughter, Jahneika Griffin; two brothers, Stephan Griffin of Denver and Fredrick Griffin of Johnston, S.C; and three sisters, Coretta Langford of Capital City, Peggie Mays of Aiken, S.C, and Sharon Griffin-Nicholson of Johnston. William Roger Campbell SULLIVANS ISLAND, SC William Roger Campbell, 50 years old, from Sullivans Island, SC expired January 8, 2001 at the home of his brother, Ralph Campbell in Shoals Junction. He is survived by his daughter, Kelsey Campbell of Sullivans Island, his mother, Linda Robinson Sanders of Greenwood and was the son of the late Wilton Campbell. He is also survived by two brothers, Jimmy Campbell of Saluda and Ralph Campbell of Shoals Junction. Maternal grandparents were Cal and Julia Robinson of Shoals Junction. Roger was a graduate of The Citadel and made his home on Sullivans Island, SC where he was a member of Sunrise Presbyterian Church.

During his life in Charleston, he was founder and CEO of Southeastern Container Corporation and currently served as president of Container Land Associates, LP and SOE Incorporated. Participation in various organizations included The Citadel Alumni Association, Maritime Association, Propeller Club and Ducks Unlimited. Roge acquired his pilot's license in 1978 and was a member of Aircraft Owners and Pilot Association. Pallbearers include Sam Ackerson, Dr. Gene Willard, Charles Milford, Ken McAlister, Walter Cain, VV.W.
