Curves employees donate more than 2,000 pounds of groceries to Food Bank By SHAVONNE POTTS Index-Journal staff writer It took two truck loads, but Curves members from the Greenwood fitness center donated more than 2,000 pounds of groceries to the Food Bank of Greenwood. Curves co-owners said they were told it was the largest single donation ever provided to the food bank.

The donations were given as part of an annual Curves promotion Food for Friends. "These people did that," coowner Tricia Hansen said excitedly. Members were asked to donate what they could and were rewarded for their generosity. New members were given the opportunity to waive their service fees in exchange for a bag of groceries, while current members entered a contest. with the chance to win Curves T-shirts.

Co-owner Sandy Roberts said all the center did was provide the place and the T-shirts. "We really want to thank the Greenwood members for their overwhelming support," Roberts said.
