He then pumped more gas into his car from another pump and left without paying. ty Sheriff's Department: The Sheriff's Department received a call Satin-day saying that a burned car was sitting on the side of the road between Shoals Junction and Ware Shoals. The car had been stolen Friday from a Hoi tea Path resident.

David Richard Smith, 25, of 79 Third Street, was arrested for distribution of marijuana. Smith remains in the Greenwood County Jail. An Quince Street resident reported that watermelon half had been thrown at her car while it was traveling down Emerald Road. A Montague Street resident reported that approximately a dozen eggs had been thrown at his car while it was parked in his yard. Grover C. Medlin, husband of Eulalia Pierce Medlin, of 149 North Main died Sunday. Born in Pickens County, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a veteran of World War I.
