EsteUe Rauton Patterson, 67, of 215 a retired textile worker, died Saturday. A native of Abbeville County, a daughter of the late Willis J. and Rucy Sorrow Rauton, she was a Baptist. Surviving are four brothers, Henry Rauton of Anderson, James Rauton of Batesburg, Charlie Rauton of Iva and Joe Rauton of Tracy, and two sisters, Mrs. Gladys Medlin and Mrs.

Ruby Blackwell of Anderson. Services were today at 4 p.m. at McDougald's North Chapel with the Rev. W.H. Sorrow officiating.

Burial was in Old Silver Brook Cemetery. Mrs. Tommie Norris MOULTRIE, Ga. Mrs. Tommie Norris, 72, of Rt.

2, died Friday in Colquitt County Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Tommie Norris and a daughter of the late John Wilburn Joyner and Emma Nichols Joyner of Crawford County. Surviving are two sons, the Rev. George Herndon of Abbeville and J.T. Norris of Moultrie; one daughter, Mrs.

H.B. Smith of Tampa, Fla. two brothers, Gary Joyner of St. Petersburg, Fla. and Jay Joyner of Brandon, one sister, Mrs.

Ethel Johnson of Forest Park; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Services were at 3 p.m. Sunday at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Harvey Gid-dings and the Rev. Preston Norman officiating. Burial was in Sardis Cemetery.

Hugh Nicholson, died Saturday. A native of Abbeville County, a daughter of the late Frank and Nina Purdy Kerr, she was a member of Edgefield United Methodist Church, a graduate of Erskine College, received her masters degree from Greenville Women's College, had taught in Greenwood, Edgefield and at Lander College, and served as home demonstration agent, at Georgetown. Surviving are a brother, D.P. Kerr of Bradley; and two stepdaughters, Mrs. Wade Harrison Jr.

of Bradley and Mrs. Paul Ir-vin of Denmark. Services were today at 3:30 p.m. at Cedar Springs Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, near Greenwood, with the Rev. John G.

Hipp and the Rev. J.T. Littlejohn officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Kenneth Morgan, Mott Kernagh, Warren Tompkins, Dr.

Sam Nicholson, Wade Harrison, Tom Rainsford and John Pettigrew. Memorials may be made to the cemetery fund of Cedar Springs Church or Edgefield County Hospital. Blyth Funeral Home was in charge. Mrs. John Wilson ANDERSON Mrs.

Vera Turner Wilson, 74, widow of John Wilson of 705 Beechwood Avenue, died Saturday. Born in Abbeville County, daughter of the late Joe and Maggie Pilgrim Turner, she was of the Holiness faith. Surviving are two sons, William Joseph and Thomas James Wilson of Anderson; a brother, Howard Turner of Iva; nine grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Services were today at 3 p.m. at McDougalds North Chapel, with burial in New Silver Brook Cemetery.

J.Q. Arant WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -John Q. Arant, 69, president of the J.Q. Arant Trucking died Friday in Forsyth Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Lancaster County, S.C., a son of the late William B. and Maude McManus Arant. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Evelyn Arant of the home; a son, John Arant of Winston-Salem; a daughter, Mrs. C.

Alton Norton of Winston-Salem; two brothers, Carl Arant of Lancaster, S.C. and Ed Arant of Saluda, S.C.; and two sisters, Mrs. Louetta Culp and Mrs. Margaret Williams of Lancaster, S.C. Services were at 1 p.m.

today in Voglers Main Street Funeral Home, with burial in Glen view Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. W.A. Robinson HONEA PATH Mrs. Bessie Phillips Robinson, 75, widow of Waymon A.

Robinson and resident of Rt. 2, Honea Path, died Friday. Born in Anderson County, daughter of the late Marshall and Margaret Stone Phillips, she was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving are three sons, Julius and Howard Robinson of Honea Path and Billy Robinson of Ware Shoals; five daughters, Miss Hazel Robinson of Honea Path, Miss Clara Mae Robinson of Japan, Mrs. J.A.

Gunnells of Belton, Mrs. Harold Hanley of Honea Path and Mrs. Johnny Hopkins of Ware Shoals; a half-brother, Dennis Phillips of Honea Path; two sisters, Mrs. Belle Gunnels of Honea Path and Mrs. Ada Robinson of Abbeville; a half-sister, Mrs.

Roy Phillips of Honea Path; 13 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Services were at 3 p.m. Sunday at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Hanley and the Rev. Shepard Averitt officiating.

GCARC MEETS TONIGHT The Greenwood County Association for Retarded Children monthly meeting will be tonight at 7:30 in room 200 of the county courthouse. Guest speaker will be Jim Edwards, executive director of the South Carolina Association for Retarded Citizens, from Columbia. There will be an election of officers for 1976 and dues will be taken at this meeting. NAACP BOARD TO MEET The Greenwood-Ninety Six Chapter of the NAACP executive board will hold its regular monthly meeting Tuesday at 8 p.m. at the Old Brewer Hospital Building.

Crash Kills McCormick Man McCORMICK A McCormick man was killed Saturday afternoon when his car ran off a secondary road between WiUington and Cades Mill.

According to McCormick County Coroner Jack Keown, William Rouse, 44, was thrown from his car and crushed when the car turned over on him. There were no other passengers. Keown said the road Rouse was travelling is straight for three miles, and suddenly veers off into a sharp left turn. Rouse did not make the turn and ran onto a recently plowed field, according to the coroner. According to Keown the road was dry and visibility was not hampered by weather conditions.

No inquest is planned, Keown said. Jones, Rt. 2, Ninety Six, was stolen Friday, sometime between 6:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. according to the sheriff's office. Also taken were two wrist watches and a pocket radio.

Persons with information should contact the sheriff's office. Harvey To Speak At Ninety Six Chamber Meeting NINETY SIX Lt. Gov. Brantley Harvey Jr. will speak at the annual meeting of the Ninety Six Chamber of Commerce Tuesday.

Tickets for the meeting are $4 and may be purchased from town clerk, Helen Pruitt, at the town hall. The meeting is at 7:30 at Greenwood Mills Community Center. WMTY Radio, CUar Channel A If Whim William David Anderson, 88, of RFD Spring Valley, died Sunday night at Self Memorial Hospital. He was born in Greenwood County, Feb. 19, 1887, a son of the late Andrew and Lucy Wilkinson Anderson.

He was a member of South Main Street Baptist Church and the Baraca Class of the church. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lucile Jester Anderson; two daughters, Mrs. R. (Helen) Scott of Greenwood and Mrs.

F. (Lois) Thornton of Greenville. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Blyth Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Morton and the Rev.

Morgan Kizer officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be T.B. Anderson, Bruce and Dennis Burnett, Marvin, James, Herman and Joe Timmerman, Francis Pinson, Henry McKinney and Wyatt Templeton. 2, Saluda County, a mechanic, died Friday. Born in Saluda County, he was a son of the late Marion and Polly Rowe. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Pauline Rowe; six daughters, Mrs. Polly Derrick and Barbara Minnie Lee, Susie and Shirley Rowe of Saluda and Mrs.

Nancy Watson of Trenton; 11 sons, Willie, Roy, Larry, Harold, Marion, G. Frank, Marvin, J.D., Tommy, Scott A. and Paul Rowe of Saluda; four brothers, Homer, Hubert and Alvin Rowe of Saluda and Wilson Rowe of Newberry; and four grandchildren. Services were at 3 p.m. Sunday at Ramey Funeral Home, with burial in Emory United Methodist Church cemetery.

Mrs. John Roper WARE SHOALS Mrs. Sarah Bosdell Mattison Roper, 80, widow of John H. Roper, died Saturday. Born in Abbeville County, daughter of the late Crate and Alice Bosdell, she was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, James Alex Mattison of Cusseta, Ga. and John E. Roper of Clearwater, two daughters, Mrs. Louannah Lindley of Ware Shoals and Mrs. Doris Rush of Callison; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services were today at 11 a.m. at Parker-White Funeral Home with the Rev. Ned Taylor and the Rev. Hovie Revis officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.

City POLICE LOG A combination eight-track tape player and phonograph was reported stolen Friday from the home of Mrs. Nellie Scott, 124 New Street, according to police records. SHERIFF'S LOG Construction equipment valued at more than $1,600 dollars was reported as stolen Friday, from a pickup truck belonging to C. E. Smith, 130 Pope the sheriff's office reports.

According to sheriff's records, the incident occurred last Monday, Nov. 3, and the truck was parked in Smith's front yard. TRAFFIC ACCIDENTS The Greenwood Police Department reports investigating the following traffic accidents: N. Main Street (Highway 34) and Beaudrot Ave. (9:45.

Rebecca Deloris Butler of 307 Hackett died Saturday afternoon after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Wade and Lizzie Abrams Watson and a member of St. Luke Holiness Church. Surviving are her husband, William Butler; three daughters, Miss Bessie Butler of the home, Mrs. Rosa Williams and Mrs.

Bernice Griffin both of Patterson, N.J.; two sons, James Butler of Greenwood and Charlie W. Butler of Patterson, N.J.; and five grandchildren. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Percival-Tompkins Service. William Rouse Mccormick wmiam Rouse, 44, died of injuries received in an automobile accident Saturday afternoon. He was a native of McCor-mick and had recently retired from the U.S.

Army. He was a member of Little Mill Baptist Church in Wijlington and the Rock Board Masonic Lodge. Surviving are three sons, William Morris and Bobby Rouse all of Alexandria, one brother, Lawrence Rouse of McCormick. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Walker Funeral Home. Man Recovering From Gunshot A Greenwood man is in satisfactory condition in Self Memorial Hospital today after being shot Saturday night.

City police found Albert Hollaway Saturday night lying in Carolina Avenue with a gunshot would in the left side of his chest. According to the police report, Benny Aye, 42, of 511 Carolina Ave. told officers he had shot Hollaway. Aye was charged with assault and battery with intent to kill and is being held in the county Jail without bond. 1 40 of 1971 has proposed Amendments to the Zoning Ordinance of Greenwood County, South Carolina; the proposals being to amend Section 5-District Regulations, Subsection R-5-Multi-Family Residential District so as to permit mobile home placement under certain 'conditions. The proposal is also to prohibit placement of mobile homes in the R-6 classification of Section 5. Further proposals, to amend the zoning map to change the zoning classifications to R-6 of the following tracts of land: a. That tract fronting on Deadfall Road presently zoned R-5 backing on Turner Branch and Ponderosa Hgts. b.

A tract of land presently zoned R-2 located along Rocky Geek extending from Haltiwanger Road to the Highway 72 By-Pass. It is further proposed to amend Section 1 1 of the Zoning Ordinance, Section F-Noncon-forming Uses. These changes' will propose replacement of mobile homes under certain conditions. Subsection will also be An amendment is proposed to permit residential uses under certain conditions in the 1-1 and 1-2 zoning classifications. It is proposed to amend Section 4 and add the title Mobile Home Temporary Uses.

It is proposed that mobile homes will be permitted in certain zoning classifications. a. For temporary construction uses. b. In extreme hardship cases for elderly invalid family members.

A Public Hearing will be held on the above proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance of Greenwood County on Tuesday, November 18, 1975, at 5:00 o'clock, in Public Meeting Room 200 on the Second Floor of the Greenwood County Courthouse.
